About the Artist
Hi, I'm Jokerful (they/them)! I'm a 27 year old artist working on getting my Bachelor's in German with a minor in Myth Studies. Despite art not being my major I have taken classes on figure drawing, painting, printmaking, animation, game design, and art history. I'm often inspired by anime, mythology, video games, horror, and German and Austrian expressionism.

Terms of Service
By commissioning me you are agreeing to all of the following terms. Please read completely and carefully.
Violation of the terms may result in the client being permanently blacklisted.
Copyright and Usage
I (the artist) reserve the right to decline a commission request for any reason (See my FAQ to find out what I will draw and what I won't).
I retain all copyrights over my work.
The client may upload commissioned work to social media as long as explicit credit is given.
I retain the right to upload all commissioned work.
The commissioned work may not be sold or made a profit off of by the client or anyone else.
The commissioned piece is not to be altered by the client or anyone else.
I reserve the right to reuse sketches and design elements that were rejected by the client for other work.
Payment and Extra Charges
All payments are to be made through Square only. Please wait until you have received an invoice through email before making a payment (See my FAQ to learn more).
Commissions are expected to be paid up front and in full. Work will only begin after I’ve received payment.
References of the character(s) must be provided by the client. I will charge more if no references can be provided.
No refunds. Please be mindful of this if you wish to hire me.
The client is allowed to ask for revisions to the artwork during the sketch phase. Extreme revisions after this point will cost extra.
If the client requests an exceedingly amount of revisions I will charge extra.
Work and Communication
All commissions are digital and no physical product will be sent to the client.
Work time will vary from one to 6 weeks. The client will be contacted if complications arise.Currently deadlines are uncertain due to high stress at this time. Please contact me whenever you feel necessary to check up on progress and other such things. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
The client may suggest concepts to me however I reserve the right to decline them if I feel it is outside my skill range. I want to make work that not only the client is happy with but that I am happy with as well.
I will e-mail watermarked low-res copies of the piece for review during the process.
Once artwork is completed the client will receive an unwatermarked digital copy of the piece at its original size at 300dpi.
Once a piece has been delivered, there will be no further revisions or changes.
All communication regarding commission work is to be done through e-mail so that I may remain organized.
Do not send commission inquiries through Instagram or Twitter DMs as I might miss them.
If you are an artist and would like to copy these terms for your own needs please do so. I hold no copyright over the exact wording and would be much happier for them to be copied verbatim if it helps other artists stay protected.

I don't have any references, is that okay?
If the only thing you can provide is a description of your character then I will charge extra as it will take extra time and effort to draw them. We can negotiate the extra charge when you email me.
I've never heard of Square! What is it?
Square is a service that provides small businesses and independent sellers an easy way to receive payments from their clients. It's simple, straight forward, and easy to use.
Awesome! I'll go make a Square account so I can pay you!
Accounts are only for the sellers, not the customers.
Huh? Then how do I pay you?
I will send an invoice to the email you used to contact me with and it will provide you with a link where you can put in your card info. If you want it to be sent to a different email you have to let me know beforehand.
My card info? You mean I have to give you my private information?
No. I don't see any of your information and there is an option you can check off so Square doesn't save your info either. Paying through Square is the same as paying through any other e-commerce site. In fact you've probably used Square already without knowing it (Most sellers at conventions use Square). Be assured that this is a safe and easy option for both you and me.
What if I don't want to use Square? Do you have other payment options?
No. Square makes it easy for me to see all my invoices in one place and in an organized way. If you refuse to use Square then I won't accept your commission.
Can I sell the work I commissioned you for?
No. My work is for personal use only and is not allowed to be sold by you or anyone else. You do not have my permission to make a profit off of my work and should you go against this you will be permanently blacklisted and, if necessary, legal action may be taken.
You're signature is so big and distracting. Can I get rid of it?
No. No alterations are allowed to be done to the commissioned piece, this includes my signature. Also, if you remove my signature this makes it difficult to trace the artwork back to me. I made the art, my name deserves to be on it.
I don't like that you're okay with drawing problematic content.
That's fine, you're allowed to not like what I do. No one is forcing you to like the content I make.
I want you to stop offering that kind of content.
That I won't do. You're allowed to not like it but what you're not allowed to do is demand I change the content I make simply because it makes you uncomfortable. If you're that bothered by what I offer then simple ignore my art and block my social media accounts.
But it's problematic. Doesn't that bother you?
It's fiction. A drawing. I'm not hurting anyone by what I draw and I'm not condoning the things depicted in my drawings. Again, if it bothers you that much just ignore me, block me, and move on.

Procedure
Read the Terms of Service and FAQ pages before contacting me.
Contact me through my email and title it "Commission".
State what style you would like (Black and White or Flat Color) and provide drawing references of the character you wish to be drawn.
Provide any information you believe to be relevant in helping me draw such as background information, personality, etc. If you have a particular pose or look in mind let me know.
Once approved you will receive an email with your invoice using Square (For those who have never used Square before please see my FAQ to learn more about it).
After I have received payment I will begin working on the piece. Clients must be open to communication and will receive updates such as progress and complications should they arise.
When the piece is done a full resolution unwatermarked version will be emailed to the client.
